How
long have you been in business?
Destiny
DJ's, owned and established by Glenn Clark, has been around
since 1992, so we aren't going anywhere!
Do
we pick the music?
Yes!
We include a Request List with your contract for
you to fill out. As long as you take the time to provide
the DJ with specific songs you would like, we will guarantee
to have the music you want. If you are unsure of the songs
you want, you can write down certain genres as well. You
can also include songs you do not want played at your affair.
We have everything ranging from the Big Band era up to today's
current top hits. So, no request is too big or too small!
We highly recommend filling out the Request List.
This will give the DJ an idea, ahead of time, of what type
of you music you would like at your affair.
Do
your DJ's bring back-up equipment?
Yes,
of course! All of our DJ's are provided with back-up equipment,
so you never have to worry about equipment failure.
Do
you offer anything else besides the DJ?
We
offer Lighting Effects, wide variety of Party
Props, Karaoke, Fog & Bubbles all
at an additional cost. All you have to do is ask!
Do
you just play music or do you get involved with the crowd?
"We
Don't Just DJ, We Entertain You!" We can show
your guests how to do the line dances, play games with
the kids, and even interact with your guests. If you want
us to just play music, we can accommodate to that too.
Just let us know.
Is
Destiny DJ's fully insured?
Yes
we are fully insured, which allows us to perform at any hall.
How
much set-up time is needed for the DJ?
When
you book one of our DJ's for your next event, we always arrive
no later than 30 minutes prior to your scheduled starting
time to set-up. For some more elaborate affairs needing additional
set-ups or extra preparation, we might need to arrive 1 hour
prior to your event starting time.
What
does the DJ need from me?
For
most of our affairs, all we ask from you is to please provide
us with an 8 foot table and a power outlet. Usually, if you
are having your event at a hall or restaurant, they will
take care of that for you. For our outdoor events, we do
need you to provide us with protective covering, incase of
inclement weather. If you can not provide the DJ with protective
covering, please let the office know prior to your event,
so other arrangements can be made.
Can
I speak to my DJ before my event?
Of
course! Your DJ will contact you the week of your event to
personally go over all the details of your affair. You can
discuss any important details or ask any questions you may
have for them at that time.
How
can I meet my DJ (for weddings)?
This
is a very common question for our engaged couples planning
their wedding day. We always suggest scheduling a consultation
in our office. Once you make that appointment, we personally
set you up with a DJ that will be available to play at your
wedding. That way if you decide to book with us, the DJ that
you meet at your consultation is the DJ that you will see
at your wedding!
Do
your DJ's work exclusively for you?
Yes!
Our DJ's work just for us. We do not sub out our work, meaning
if you book with Destiny, the only DJ that will
arrive at your event will be from Destiny!
How
do I book your company for my event?
First,
you must contact our office. We only book our events over
the telephone so we can speak directly to you. Once you decide
to book our service, we require 2 things from you. We require
a deposit and a signed contract, which we can either mail,
fax, or email to you. You can mail the signed contract back
with a check or fax it back, if paying by credit card.
How
do you handle payment?
We
require a deposit, which can be paid by check or credit card.
We accept VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, & DISCOVER.
Than the balance is due in CASH, when the DJ arrives. If
you can not pay the balance by cash, please call the office
so other arrangements can be made.
How
does your Karaoke service work?
We
incorporate our DJ service with Karaoke,
meaning we do not rent out our Karaoke units. Instead of
just listening to your guests singing all night, we play
music and have your guests come up in between songs to sing.
We pass out books with our Karaoke selections, there
are microphones to use, and the words come up on a TV screen.
So, your guests are able to enjoy themselves by singing and
dancing when you book Karaoke for your
next event!
Do
you offer discounted rates for certain days?
Yes
we do! Our rates for Sunday-Friday are more reasonable than
a Saturday. Also, during some of the winter months, we offer
discounted rates as well!
Does your company offer back-up DJ's?
If an emergecny situation should arise, which would prevent your scheduled Disc Jockey from performing at your affair, we always have DJ's from our company on standby to fill in on short notice.
What
will my DJ be wearing?
We
always come professionally dressed for all of our events.
Our DJ's wear black dress pants and our company shirt for
most of our indoor events, or they will wear a tuxedo for
our more elegant affairs, such as a wedding.

the total price include tax and gratuity?
Our
company does not charge tax. As far as gratuity, we leave
that entirely up to you!
